We are a group of traders with a common goal: to create a complete digital archive of pre-FM radio show material involving Genesis and related solo projects, consisting of digital reproductions of the shows and scans of corresponding cue sheets.

Our goal differs from existing remastering projects. They do an excellent job of optimising sound, editing out "distractions" such as announcers and adverts, and compiling different sources to get the overall best and most complete versions of available material. In contrast our objective is to archive and preserve radio shows, making faithful, unedited digital tranfers of radio show media and any accompanying cue sheets. The archive will be as complete as we can make it, including variant reissues of popular concerts and interview discs. In other words, a digital archive of the "raw material" from original radio show vinyl, reels and CDs which can serve as a resource for future remastering projects.

Another important distinction is that we are primarily concerned with expanding this resource, not with distributing the results. Distribution will naturally and inevitably occur through the usual channels of conventional trading and via weeding groups, however our mission is to document, preserve and expand the pool of available shows by trading like-for-like. Accordingly the archive is available for trading on the basis that we obtain a new show for each we trade out.

Our current trade-only policy is in force so that we can reach a stage where the majority of radio shows are safely preserved in digital form. It is anticipated that when we are unable to further expand the resource pool then the results will in time become more readily available and hopefully the trading community in general will carry the torch and assist in maintaining this resource.
